General Knowledge Test

Twenty questions, five fields, not one answer that depends on the news.

About this test

Twenty questions spread across five fields: science, history, geography, arts and the English language. Difficulty rises as you go, and each question has exactly one correct answer, the other three options being plausible but unambiguously wrong.

One decision shaped the whole quiz: no answer here can go out of date. No heads of state, no sporting records, no company rankings, no city populations — all facts that change and would make the quiz wrong within months. What is left is stable: chemistry, physical geography, dates, works of art, rules of grammar.

If you want to improve rather than simply measure yourself, read the full correction at the end and note which fields cost you points. General knowledge is built in blocks: filling an empty shelf is far more efficient than adding another one to the shelf that is already full.

How it works

Twenty single-choice questions, four options each, no timer. Your score is the percentage of correct answers, and the full correction appears once you submit the test.
